so, once i finished the body and hood of the sweater, i decided that i really liked how it looked as a vest. plus, i was really over it and dreading doing the sleeves, so that was an added incentive to finish it up.
not loving these pictures, but that's what happens when i don't get to take them. ;)

all in all, this was a great project. i don't LOVE the yarn (kraemer tatamy tweed) - it feels a little more acrylic-y than i had hoped. i haven't washed it yet, so we'll see if that improves my feeling about it.
in any case, this is the first garment i've made for myself that i know i'll wear, and that's pretty exciting. and i'm starting my next sweater today!

(and hey! that necklace looks great with it! ;) )
I just picked up an old WIP on the needles this morning (Tempting from Knitty.) I have no idea if I'll ever wear it, need to find some modifications I may like, but I just want to finish it after, what, 3 years.
So happy for you! I know how nice it is to feel like you've finished something!
p.s. pics of cowl on ravelry now.
And it reminds me - I got the ... I don't what to call it, but I got it! The color - pretty awesome on me. :D
I will have to go somewhere at night so that it's cold enough to wear it. I really love it! Thank you so much!
So much!
when i blocked it, it grew a little, so (if i recall), i put the button on pretty loosely so that you could adjust it if needed. :)
